Goldcoast developmental foundation receives recognition alongside RED cross, NEMA and the Nigerian Navy

Goldcoast developmental foundation receives a certificate of recognition by the Nigerian Air Force for its participation and support of the annual disaster management programme aimed at building capacity and providing knowledge to mitigate the effect of natural and man-made disasters.

The certificate was presented by Air Officer in charge of Mobility Command of the Nigerian Air Force, AVM OA Idowu, during the closing ceremony of the two- week Civil-Military Operations, code-named “Exercise Ebiye Rin” organized by the Nigerian Air Force. The award was received by one of the trustees of Goldcoast foundation; Mr Lawrence Erudjakpo, on behalf of the founder, Moses Oruaze Dickson.

The Exercise which lasted between April 2 and 18 2013 provided medical outreach and the distribution of relief materials to communities in the eight local government areas of Bayelsa state (Brass, Ekeremor, Kolokuma-Opokuma, Nembe, Ogbia, Sagbama, Southern Ijaw and Yenagoa

In his speech, the Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency, Henry Seriake Dickson, who challenged other security agencies to take a cue from the Nigerian Air Force to join forces with the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) and other non-profit organizations to reduce the impact of natural disasters in the country.
Other organizations that received this certificate of recognition include Zenith Bank, Skye Bank and the chaplain relief services.
