GOLDCOAST OBSERVED WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY 2018
World Humanitarian Day is observed globally on August 19th every year by humanitarian
organisations and people of goodwill. The programme Coordinator of Goldcoast Developmental
Foundation, Mr. Authority Benson stated during a media chat on Sunday, 19th August 2018 that
it is a day set aside to recognize people who dedicate their lives to the course of adding
value to society through humanitarian service, and those who lost their lives while voluntarily
serving humanity.
The Coordinator further Stressed that it was designated by the United Nations
General Assembly as part of Swedish-Sponsored GA Resolution A/63/L.49. Goldcoast is committed
to serving humanity through every means.
