The world is so big, yet so little to see each fragments of people living in a community.
You may never understand the discrimination and barriers they face both in their homes and
outside their homes.
Goldcoast Developmental Foundation, DO Foundation and other NGO's recently celebrated those
with disabilities.
You may never understand the discrimination and barriers they face both in their homes and
outside their homes.
You may never see the fact that they want to utilise their potentials , skills and abilities
and be key players in the society.
They also have the dreams of working in various sectors of the economy.
Some of them would love to play around with other children in school but most times they
do not get the opportunites. They are still being denied the education they deserve.
You may never see their plea, telling you not just to pity them but also see them as humans
who deserve to share and have happiness and laughter.
You may never see these things but you can see that their rights are sometimes denied.
You can see that they need your genuine love and friendship not the ones given out of pity.
You can also see that they need motivations and encouragement.
You can See that they need opportunies created, for them to express their full potentials
and soar high!
I am talking about those with disabilities who need You and I to express their inward
Talents and abilities.
As a foundation we have passion for the vulnerables and that is why part of our focus
is geared towards protecting the rights of these ones. We also ensure we offer them the
best possible in the area of health, Education empowerment and strategic youth development.
Every lives matter to us Including those with special needs and that is why we join the
world to mark the international day for persons with disabilities.
