GOLDCOAST, OTHER NGOs EMBARK ON 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS
Every November 25 to December 10 marks The International Day for the
Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The "UNiTE campaign "(Nov 25- Dec 10) is an initiative of 16 days
of activism concluding on the day that commemorates International Human Rights Day (10 December).
The theme for this year's Event is "Unite! Activism to End Violence
Against Women and Girls"
As the 16 days of activism continues, Goldcoast and other non-governmental organisations
embarked on a school sensitization outreach in Okaka technical college, Yenagoa, Bayelsa
State.
The students were enlightened on the need to Unite! and end gender
based violence. As a foundation, we believe that women and girls deserve to live life to the fullest
without any form of intimidation, violence and emotional turbulence.
