LISTENING (ARTICLE)
The attention span of each person is reducing
Life throws a lot on us everywhere and everyday
It takes a deliberate effort to actually listen and Understand what people are saying rather than
What you think they are meaning to say.
In the photo below, we were at one of the relief camps for Internally displaced people and with all
the activities amidst the crowd, a child walked up to me to say “ uncle, I want water for my mum
my sisters upstairs “.
I just froze! How could this girl stand here all this while in the queue for children just for water?
Our team immediately gave her water and we followed her upstairs to see her mum and 3 children who were
eating without water to drink. We were coming down the stairs when that photo was taken. I was glad
We listened to her.
So it pays to listen. Sometimes, however the situation, just LISTEN!!
