World Tuberculosis Day 2021
Tuberculosis is a curable and preventable disease, which mostly affects the lung. The
infection spreads through the air, when the person suffering from it coughs or sneezes.
If a healthy person inhales those germs, he or she can be affected.
Sequel to world Tuberculosis day marked yesterday, 24th march 2021, Goldcoast Developmental
Foundation joined other groups and health workers on a road walk on March 24, 2021 to create
awareness and sensitization on the need to go for screening especially when a cough persists
after two weeks.. The commissioner for health Dr. Newton Pabara Igwele was also present for
this event.
Tuberculosis is not a death sentence.....
It is treatable and preventable..
